FR. MAXELL LOWELL C. ARANILLA

is a priest of the Archdiocese of Manila. He holds several key positions such as Secretary for Academics of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines’ Episcopal Commission on Seminaries, Chair of the Catholic Education Association of the Philippines’ Committee on Seminary Education and member of the National Tertiary Education Commission.

Fr. Aranilla is presently the Principal of Our Lady of Guadalupe Minor Seminary, the Director of Guadalupe Catholic School, and a Philosophy Professor in San Carlos Seminary, all in Makati City. He teaches undergraduate and graduate Philosophy and Theology courses at De La Salle University where he is also the Philosophy Department’s Coordinator for the Graduate Program for Seminary Formators.

Fr. Aranilla holds PhD and MA Philosophy from De La Salle University, MA Pastoral Ministry from Ateneo de Manila University, and Bachelor’s degree in Theology from Loyola School of Theology. He earned units in MA Spirituality from Creighton University, Nebraska, USA. He had formal training on Seminary Formation at Institute for Priestly Formation in Nebraska, USA and at Athenaeum Pontificium Regina Apostolorum in Rome, Italy. He took course on Philosophical Psychology at the Institute for the Psychological Sciences in Arlington, Virginia, USA. For five consecutive summers, he attended certificate courses on Theology of the Body at the Theology of the Body Institute in Pennsylvania, USA.

Fr. Aranilla has read philosophical and theological papers in local and international conferences. He also gets frequently invited to recollections and retreats to priests, religious and lay people.
